Let’s be honest: some classic fairy tales are problematic. Once upon a time, princesses were flighty and fickle, but those days are over. The Princess & The Pea tells the story of a land where rulers are chosen by how particular they are about a mattress. Kids deserve better.

// SOLUTION

Now Upon a Time is a storytelling project that reimagines classic tales with more modern, empowering messages. With an historic election approaching, we encouraged kids (and their parents) to use their voice. The Princess & The Pea-tition is a story about the importance of democracy and questioning unreasonable systems.

// RESULT

This story came to life across an animated film, illustrated children’s book and influencer kits encouraging kids to sign a pledge to become ‘future voters’ complete with ballot boxes to run their own elections.
