A trip to the moon
On the 40th anniversary of the moon landing, we partnered with AOL and the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum to return to the moon and bring 1.25 million people with us.
WeChooseTheMoon.org re-created the lunar mission with an interactive experience that allowed visitors to re-live the mission as it happened exactly 40 years later to the minute. The site used archival video, photos and “real time” audio transmissions sent out via Twitter to bring the experience to life.
As of two weeks after the launch, the site had three million visits from 216 different countries. Check out the site here: wechoosethemoon.org.
We choose the moon

WeChooseTheMoon.org
WeChooseTheMoon.org is an interactive re-creation of the historic Apollo 11 mission to the moon, inspired by John F. Kennedy’s grand vision. This four-day experience brought real-time details to life as never before. While many of the images, video and audio from the mission are a part of public domain, this is the first time they’ve been aggregated and organized to give viewers a “mission experience.” Since the four-day live event, the site has become a self-guided tour of the mission — a tour that over 4.5 million people have taken to date.
“Today’s technology will bring the Apollo 11 mission to life in a detailed, multisensory experience that wasn’t possible in 1969. While we can’t quite replicate the exhilaration the astronauts must have felt 40 years ago, our goal is to put the audience on board and get as close as we can.” — Brian Williams, project Senior Art Director
JFK Museum and Library Plugs You Into History

In the current era of political cynicism, our "Recharge" campaign promises that a trip to the JFK Presidential Library and Museum will recharge your faith in politics and public service. With a strong creative message and a timely topic this election year, high-profile publications including TIME, BusinessWeek, The Advocate and more have donated valuable media space to show their support.
“Tickets” to JFK Presidential Library and Museum

JFK's life appeals not only to history and political buffs, but its magnetism commands attention from all segments of society and pop culture. A visit to the JFK Presidential Library and Museum allows a glimpse into a life fit for the movies, as well as an up-close experience of one of America's most storied political periods.
Even though the JFK Presidential Library and Museum has attracted visitors for years, they needed a campaign that would increase both awareness of and attendance at the museum. Firmly believing that a ticket to the JFK Presidential Library and Museum offers more than any other admission ticket in Boston, we launched the "Tickets" campaign in the Boston area. We wanted to show that it is not simply a ticket to a museum, but a ticket to living, breathing and understanding what it was like to be John F. Kennedy. So far, attendance has risen over 7% — a momentous increase for the museum.
