The Martin Agency Names New President of Ingenuity Media Group

Richmond, Virginia – December 16, 2008 – The Martin Agency announced today that Linda Thomas Brooks, managing director of General Motors Mediaworks and General Motors Cyberworks from 1994 to 2005, will become Ingenuity Media’s new president. Linda will replace Mark Pavia, who will become The Martin Agency’s first director of innovation.

“We’re so pleased that Linda has accepted the role of president of our Ingenuity Media Group,” said John Adams, chairman and CEO of The Martin Agency. “We’re confident that her leadership will continue a trajectory of growth for Ingenuity and will add deep, relevant experience that will benefit all our clients.”

Linda Thomas Brooks most recently worked at Trilogy in Detroit, where her primary responsibilities included promoting the Trilogy brand to an audience of Fortune 100 C-level executives.

Prior to her arrival at Trilogy, Linda was executive vice president, managing director of General Motors Mediaworks/General Motors Cyberworks in Detroit. At General Motors, Linda led a dedicated agency in creating powerful multimedia opportunities. Linda’s team supported all GM brands, including the non-auto companies, with strategic insights and programs designed to bring the brand strategy to life in consumer media experiences. Under Linda’s leadership, the GM Mediaworks/Cyberworks team became the center of expertise for the use of new media in achieving brand goals.

Prior to that, Linda had experience in the advertising agency business at Campbell-Ewald in Warren, Michigan; Young & Rubicam, Detroit; and Advanswers Media/Programming in St. Louis. Her work included consumer packaged goods, service businesses and telecom clients.

Linda’s expertise in both the marketing and automotive industries led to the American Advertising Federation naming her to its Advertising Hall of Achievement for early career achievement, and her selection in 2000 as one of the “100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry” by Automotive News. She has also been named to the Crain’s Detroit Business Magazine list of Most Influential Women.

Linda’s leadership in the marketing and advertising community goes beyond career achievements. Linda served as president of The Adcraft Club of Detroit, the nation’s largest and oldest local advertising club. Additionally, she served on the industry’s Audit Bureau of Circulations Board of Directors. Linda is also on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the American Advertising Federation.
