The Martin Agency Names New Innovation Director

Richmond, Virginia – December 16, 2008 – The Martin Agency announced today that Mark Pavia, former president of the agency’s media arm, Ingenuity Media Group, has been promoted to serve as the agency’s first Director of Innovation.

“We’ve been talking with Mark about this innovation position for some time,” said John Adams, chairman and CEO of The Martin Agency. “Once we were successful in our bid to bring on board the world-class media experience of Linda Thomas Brooks as Mark’s successor, we made this new role official. Mark is known here for his broad thinking and his unending curiosity. We always seek to raise the bar on innovative marketing for our clients and he is a perfect fit for this new innovation role.”

Mark Pavia joined The Martin Agency in 2001 as Media Director and in 2006 led the rebranding of the media arm of The Martin Agency as Ingenuity Media Group. Ingenuity does media planning and buying for many clients of The Martin Agency and also works with other agencies of the Interpublic Group, the parent company of the agency. Prior to The Martin Agency, Mark worked at marchFIRST as a managing senior consultant, Four Points Digital as the Director of Media Services for Sears, Allstate, 3Com and at FCB as a group director on Coors, Kimberly-Clark and Cadbury Beverages.

In his new role as director of innovation, Mark’s primary responsibility will be to scout constantly for what’s new and what’s next that can be put to work for clients of The Martin Agency. He will work with client teams to develop ideas and help move ideas from the drawing board to the marketplace. Externally, he will work with a wide variety of companies to bring new marketing platforms and innovations to all our clients. Mark will report directly to the chairman and CEO of The Martin Agency, John Adams.
